Join the knowledge revolution - reclaim ancient wisdom for a better future!

Siri Vevle & Gnostic North

In 2023 I left my academic job to pursue a self-led career path, as I found my academic job too limiting with regards to my more interdsisciplinary interests. I think the long lines of history matter, and I believe in teaching and mentoring which fosters individuation and independent critical thinking. This led me to create Gnostic North as a platform where Ancient Knowledge and Philosophy informs how we address the current challenges of humanity - most of all the future of knowledge is transmitted and explored!

I have always been interested in knowledge and ideas. Especially those ideas that stretch far into the past, or point towards the future. Art, music, literature, philosophy, and religion have remained my main interests from a young age. My most passionate interests lie in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece, as well as my native Norse heritage. I have been studying hieroplyphs for a while now, and am deeply committed to studying ancient texts in the original language.

My formal degrees are in English Literature and Art History, supplemented by Latin and Religious Studies. I have an MA on the British poet and artist William Blake, and I continued this research for a PhD which I have yet to submit. I have worked as a lecturer in English Literature, Culture, and Didactics for well over a decade at the University level. I also have extensive experience from public lecturing and academic conferences in Europe, South America, and Egypt, in addition to extensive experience with tutoring, mentoring, and project managment. I initiated the Literature and Religion research group at The University of Bergen, Norway, and have led the network and research group ‘Consciousness’ at Volda University College. I have also spent time as a visiting scholar at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, inlcuding archival research at the Society of Antiquaries in London.
